Way back in 2009 a thread regarding an Gameboy Color version of Jet Force Gemini appeared over at assemblergames.com, someone had found a prototype cartridge with the GBC version that never saw the
light of day and only received very minor press coverage, if any at all.
Jet Force Gemini was an awesome Nintendo64 title released late 1999 worldwide. In 2000 Blitz Software, ealier known as Interactive Studios, was contracted to develop a handheld version based on the
Nintendo64 version. Blitz/Interactive has a lot of unreleased Nintendo titles under their belt and Jet Force Gemini was yet another.
A guy called Nick Lee worked on the game, freelance, doing 2d artwork and that's pretty much all the trace there is online from the development of the game. Who knows why it was released, most likely
because the Gameboy Advance was so near, and it's unknown wether the game was completed or not.
None the less, the discovery of the prototype was amazing. Sadly it also attacted too much "negative" interest and the cartridge was secretly sold and changed to an unknown owner.
