Not many know of Gowin Technology, a small independent Gameboy developer who also handled manufacturing themselves. This of course meant that they were all alone at getting their games "out there"
to the public and not least.... getting known around the world.
I actually contacted Gowin way back in year 2000 in hope of getting one of each of their 9 games that were available at the time. The games were US$6 each at a minimum order of 1000 pcs. But because
Gowin wanted to expand in to the western market, Gowin accepted to let me make a sample order, though I would of course newer buy another 1000 pcs. Anyway the price for a sample order of 9 games
was US$150.
Even though I really wanted to check our their games, I never proceeded to paying for the sample order. A few years later Gowin was gone, who know how many units they managed to ship, especially the
english versions, so I've kicked myself a few times already for not having placed an order.
