The result of this was, that some of the old classics was rereleased, two of them was The Legend of Zelda and Zelda 2 - The Adventure of Link. A rumour is out that the cartridges aren't for the two games aren't "GOLD" as when the game first was released. Nintendo diden't want to spend money on paint for the cartridges... they just wanted some money.... fast! Though I haven't been able to find out wether this is true or not. HISTORY Damn... my manual is spanish... if you have the manual and you can read it... then please type it to normal ascii text and send it to: i1q@dc5101.aalborges.dk Pleeeeze..... :) Here's what the intro from the game says.... After ganon was destroyed, Impa told Link a sleeping spell was cast on pincess Zelda... she will wake only with the power of no. 3 triforce sealed in a palace in hyrule. To break the seal, crystals must be placed in statues in 6 well guarded. Link set out in his most Adventuresome quest yet... (c) Nintendo 1987 (Umm.. why (c) 1987 the game was released in 1990 or??) TIPS Listen to the people in the villages.... Remember to listen to the people you meet. The people in the villages often gives you hints which can help you on your journey. They can also learn you special techniques and magic power which you will need. A knight in Mido can teach you how to do a lower punch and someone in Darunia can tell you how to a jump and hit enemies at the same time. Experience is the key to succes... When Link get experience points from battels, his power will grow. On his journey he'll meet enemies all with different strength. If you meet an enemy in the beginning of the game which you can't defeat, then try again later when you have more experience points. Get a load of experience, before you try..... PALACES Sorry, I can't draw a map to any of the palace.... so the following will just be some hints, which I hope you'll find useful: PARAPA PALACE Pass the silent guardian and enter the palace. Watch out for the bridges... they'll not hold you.... On the first floor (to the left) you'll find a key and (to the right) a fairy... use the elevator (go up) near where you found the fairy and you'll find two keys. Go back to the floor you came from and go left until you reach another elevator. Use it... and go as far as you can to the left and you'll find the candle. Then go back to the elevator near where you found the fairy and use it "down" to the next floor. On this floor you'll get to "HORSEHEAD" which is the guardian of the Statue.... to kill him, you have to hit his head. MIDORO PALACE Hit the "statue" in the beginning of the palace and it will turn into an enemy or a pot with magic. You have to find 4 keys.... Use the first elevator all the way down... go as far as you can to the right and you'll find a key.... Go back to the elevator and use it to go one floor up... go as far as you can to the left and you'll find another key... Back to the elevator and use it "one floor up"... go to the left and you'll find a key.... continue left... Then you'll find a red magic potion.... continue left till you reach the elevator and use it "down one floor... Go left and you'll find the magic glove... and then go back to the elevator and use it "down one floor". Go as far as you can to the right and you'll find a key... on your way over to the key, you passed an elevator. Go back to the elevator and use it... On this floor you'll find "HELMETHEAD" who guards the Statue... ISLAND PALACE Hit the "statue" in the beginning of the palace and it will turn into an enemy or a red magic potion. You have to find 4 keys... When you have entered the palace, just keep on going right until you see a key under some rocks... GET IT!! :) Continue right... as far as you can... and you'll find the next key... On your way, you passed an elevator... go back and use it.. Then go right and pick up another key + the raft.... and go back to the elevator.... Then go left.. as far as you can, and you'll find the last key. On the way you passed an elevator... go back and use it "down"! Then go right until you reach "IRONKNUCKLE". Watch out for the knives "IRONKNUCKLE" throws at you.... The horse he rides on, makes him "untouchable", so you have to jump and hit his head..... then he's not so tuff anymore.. LABYRINTH PALACE Hit the "statue" in the beginning of the palace and it will turn into an enemy or a red magic potion. You need to find 6 keys... Just look for them :) To find the WINGBOOTS.... go left when you have enteren the palace... use the elevator down by one floor.. Go to the screen with a big hole... Jump into the hole, BUT KEEP holding RIGHT ON YOUR JOYPAD!!! Go to the right and you'll find the WINGBOOTS... The guardian of this palace is "CAROCK"... To kill you must use the magic "REFLECT". Stand in the left corner when you've activated the magic. SEA PALACE There's 5 keys in this palace... In this palace there's a false wall... you must find it, before you can find the flute... This palace is big and confusing :( A map would be nice here.... but that too tuff to do... :( The guardian in this castle is... "GOOMA" THREE-EYED PALACE As far as I can remember, there's no keys in this palace.. but there's a lot of fallgroups.... Umm... remember to find the cross... The guardian of this palace is called "BARBA". Avoid his firebals and hit his head. GREAT PALACE You can't enter the great palace before you've completed the other 6 palaces. This palace is big, difficult and confusing. A map would be nice.. :) The guardian of this palace is called "THUNDERBIRD". Use the magic called thunder. You can only hit him when you can see his face. GAME OVER .... ONLY THE SHADOW KNOWS..... You can't use magic against this last enemy, Links own shadow. Hit him with the sword and defend yourself with your shield. Use the Magic "LIFE" to get more energy. Only the best can defeat him and wake up princess ZELDA!..
