GAME NOTE
The games we never got to see back in the N64 heydays still surface from time to time and you won't see me complaining about that.

At january 18th 2012 a new N64 prototype appeared on ebay, being no less than Wildwaters Extreme Kayak, a game that was in development at Looking Glass Studios, to be published by Ubi Soft. Unfortunately Looking Glass ran into problems due to a publisher of theirs having some financial difficulties, and that resulted in Looking Glass being shut down.

Looking Glass also had another N64 game in the works which received a lot more hype by the press, being Mini Racers which was supposed to be released by Nintendo.

Anyway the information available for Wildwaters is very sparse and only a handful of screenshots exists, so this one is a real gem.

The auction ended at no less than US$1600 on Januray 28th 2012, by fellow N64 collector "DutchNESGamer". I believe that's a record for an N64 proto sold on ebay.

The game is quite early on in development, there's only one course available that crashes half way and while the game seems a bit dull and I can't see this ever being a blockbuster smash hit, it's an awesome piece of Nintendo64 history none the less.
