Back in early April I posted a video of a NES homebrew in progress that made use of the MMC3. The game had no known title at the time, but it has now been revealed, the title is Hiatus Ward and at the time of writing the game is around 40-50% complete. The author, sedwave, has been kind enough to release a playable demo of the game which can be downloaded below. DOWNLOAD HERE The game looks really impressive and kind of reminds me of Neotoxin that sadly wasn't completed. I'll be following the progress of this one for sure. But wait a minute, I'm not done yet. A few days ago I was once again lurking about at #nesdev (on IRC) and this guy, Overkil, comes along and posts a link to a "game" he is working on called "Duckwater", or at least that was what the ROM was called. I was given permission to post it here's so here we go, download below. DOWNLOAD HERE Okay so there isn't much to do in DuckWater yet, but Overkil had the following to details to add about the future of the game. | I'm thinking duck game will be a canabalt style one-button dodge-the-obstacles thing, once I get it worked out a bit more. | Well Overkil was not done yet and he gave me a link to yet another project of his, called "Horible Mazes Adventure" where you have to pick up cookie looking things while avoiding a ghost. DOWNLOAD HERE Horible Mazes is looking good, I hope to see that one finished sometime. Well that's it for now. The homebrew section is not updated with these new entries yet, but it will happen soon.
