April 7th, 2015 - 1:44 pm - Posted by Martin

Over at ASM Retro they've created a reproduction of the classic Gameboys test cartridge, something that was only available to certified repair centers and as such they're pretty hard to find today.

The first batch of carts is $15.99 each and can be ordered here.

This is not paid advertisement, but a release I think is cool... the Gameboy isn't getting a lot of love homebrew/reproduction wise these days :-/

BEST OF NES HOMEBREW GAMES
April 1st, 2015 - 5:23 pm - Posted by Martin

It's time to show you what I think is the best of the NES homebrew out there. This new page is divided into two groups, the games that are complete and free to download, the other section contains cartridge releases that are worth buying (if you ask me).

I hope this page makes it easier for to pick a game that's actually playable in the massive archive of NES homebrew released over the years.

This new page may be expanded with demos for cartridge releases later on, but feel free to give some feedback about what you'd like to see here or if I'm missing a great homebrew release (which I'm sure I do).
